A Little Shabby Chic Dream
Transforming Stonestreet Apartment #3 into a cozy vintage-inspired home.
Hello, lovely Simmers!
Today, I'm sharing a little peek at one of my current projects in The Sims 4! I've been working on a makeover of Stonestreet Apartment #3 in Evergreen Harbor, and this time, I'm embracing the timeless charm of shabby chic interiors.
My goal is to transform this apartment into a warm, welcoming home filled with vintage-inspired furniture, soft colors, delicate decorative details, and that lovely lived-in feeling that makes a space feel truly special.
The renovation is still a work in progress, but I'm excited to share how the living and dining areas are coming together!
A cozy living room filled with vintage charm and warm neutral tones.
A Cozy Living Room with Vintage Charm
For the living room, I wanted to create a soft and inviting atmosphere. White brick walls and light wooden flooring provide a neutral foundation, allowing the furniture and decorative pieces to take center stage.
Cream upholstery, warm terracotta cushions, and a distressed blue-and-beige rug bring together a palette that feels both relaxed and romantic. The vintage-inspired console table, antique-style lamp, decorative birdcage, and butterfly artwork add personality without making the room feel cluttered.
One of my favorite details is the combination of old-fashioned decorative pieces and comfortable furniture. I love interiors that feel as though they've been collected and cherished over time rather than decorated all at once.
And, of course, the wood-burning stove adds an extra touch of cottage charm! I can already imagine my Sims spending a quiet evening here with a good book and a cup of tea.
Soft colors and vintage-inspired details bring the dining area to life.
A Dining Area with a Touch of Nostalgia
The dining area introduces a slightly different color palette while maintaining the same cozy aesthetic. Mint-green chairs, a rosy tablecloth, white curtains, and delicate botanical artwork create a space that feels cheerful, romantic, and a little nostalgic.
I especially love how the mint green contrasts with the warmer pink tones of the tablecloth. It's a gentle combination that adds character without overwhelming the room.
Little details, such as the vintage-style telephone and the tea set on the table, help give the apartment a sense of history and personality. These are the finishing touches that make building in The Sims 4 so much fun!
The Beauty of Shabby Chic
Shabby chic is all about creating a comfortable, romantic atmosphere through vintage-inspired furniture, soft colors, traditional silhouettes, and decorative details that make a home feel personal.
For this apartment, I'm working with a palette of cream, beige, white, dusty pink, muted blue, and mint green. The light wooden floors and white brick walls help tie the different areas together, while the furniture, artwork, and textiles give each space its own character.
Since the apartment has an open-concept living and dining area, I also want to maintain a sense of continuity between the two spaces. The colors don't need to match perfectly; they simply need to complement one another.
What's Coming Next?
This apartment is still a work in progress! I still have more spaces to finish and details to refine before I can share the completed makeover. The bedrooms and bathroom are next on my list, and I'm looking forward to giving the rest of the apartment the same cozy, vintage-inspired feel.
What Do You Think So Far?
I'm really enjoying this little renovation and the opportunity to give Stonestreet Apartment #3 a softer, more romantic personality. There's something so satisfying about transforming an apartment into a home that feels warm, welcoming, and full of character.
I'd love to hear your thoughts! Do you like the shabby chic direction I'm taking with this build? Would you keep the current color palette, or introduce a few more pastel accents?
Let me know in the comments, and stay tuned for more updates as this little apartment makeover continues!
Thank you for following along!
Happy Simming!
